Stress, something that no one can escape from. It is in our daily life, and we have to learn how to learn ways to ease the stress in our day to day life. Here are a few ways to relax and so easy to do.


Research says that meditation may alter the brain’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress. Some think meditation is hard, honest it is really very simple. While sitting, make sure you are sitting up straight. Now both feet flat on the floor (you can meditate sitting anyway you wish). Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in and out. After doing that for a minute (or as long as you like), then tell yourself something nice like “I feel peaceful”, “I am calm”. Anything positive really. When I do this I place one hand on my tummy and it helps me guide my breathing.

Turn Up That Radio!

This is my personal go to almost every day. I have about a 45-minute drive home depending on the wonderful Seattle traffic. I have created several playlists for my different days and moods. As soon as my wheels start rolling on my car the tunes come on. To be honest I sing as loud as I can, and even throw in a little sit down dance moves. Of course, it takes a couple songs to get me going, but once it has, by the time I get home I feel so much better. Now if you don’t want to sing at the top of your lungs your playlist can be sounds of the ocean, streams, and even waterfalls.
